Poppin' the Balloon

First off I would like to say that this is a very interesting and original character; I've never seen anything even close to him and I like the design. Now on to the critique:

Vision: 4 stars because you captured the scene pretty well but the shading and dark background was a bit too heavy to allow the whole scene to be noticed perfectly. Like at the bottom your darkness covers the hand and makes it look like it is coming out of the plain background instead of from the shoulder and arm.

Originality: 5 stars because I've never seen something like this character before.

Technique: 3.5 stars because, going back to the left hand, it looks more exaggerated than it should be and the shading is also a bit too heavy to see it as it was intended to be. It looks like the wrist just expands all of a sudden instead of thickening gradually.

The pressure points where he is gabbing the balloon are well done but where the pin stops just barely inside the balloon it should have already popped.

You were heavy with the rain only at the top and even heavier between his box head and the balloon and it doesn't look right, Even with the darkness at the bottom you should be able to see the rain very faintly and you should have it covering his head, body, and arms; you had a very little bit on his middle finger on the right hand but nowhere else.

Impact: 4 stars because I will remember the picture but it isn't something that really strikes me as awe-inspiring greatness. It is a semi-simple capture of a character and an object that was done pretty well but it isn't something I would recommend everybody to check out.
